In spring, some paths are not traveled in quite the same way.

I thought I knew this place, and yet, this time, something still eludes me in this Cavu valley. I retrace my steps, a path I love to return to. I know where I'm going. And yet, this time, something is different again.

I came for a brisk walk, but it's so much better than that. The vegetation is denser, greener, and much more abundant. The path is lined with rosemary, santolina, anemones, wild orchids, and tree heather... spring is bringing everything back to life. And don't even get me started on the scents!

I walk fast, I move like a grasshopper... all the better, I don't cross paths with many people.

And then I often stop, just to watch what teems in this nature. Nothing exceptional, and yet... it all changes the moment.

Cavu doesn't perform the same way every season. We'll have to come back to really see.

At the end of October, U Benedettu has a certain magic about it. The air is still mild and the sea sparkles as if it wants to keep us here a little longer. And the beaches? The privilege of having them almost entirely to ourselves 😎

On those days, life is different: we get up without an alarm, we browse the market and chat with everyone, we have an impromptu lunch by the water, we go for a swim in the waves around Bonifacio, we organize a small concert in a church. Sunshine, waves, guitars and Corsican voices... guaranteed to evoke emotions!

I love this part of Corsica so much 🧡: simple, sincere, full of suspended moments even when the season ends.
